PPE offers carbon monoxide plants designed to produce and purify carbon monoxide gas in all capacities and in purities to 99.99+%.

PPE designed and fabricated carbon monoxide plants utilize the most widely accepted processes - Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), Partial Oxidation (POX), and Autothermal Reforming (ATR). These processes convert methane (natural gas) into a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen commonly referred to as synthesis gas or syngas.

Cryogenic purification is utilized to remove undesirable components and thereby converting the syngas to product carbon monoxide at the purity required by the application. Permeable Membranes can also be utilized for applications that do not require the very highest purity.
