Chemical Processing Facilities
PPE has extensive
experience in the design and construction of Chemical Processing Facilities.
PPE will
design, engineer, fabricate, and install facilities to produce a
wide range of chemicals including, but not limited to, the following:

Ammonia
is manufactured commercially by reacting hydrogen with nitrogen (3 H2 + N2 → 2 NH3)
in the presence of a catalyst under pressure to form liquid anhydrous ammonia (NH3).

Methanol
is synthesized by reacting carbon monoxide with hydrogen
(CO + 2 H2 → CH3OH) in the presence of a catalyst to generate the liquid methanol (CH3OH).

Formaldehyde
is produced by reacting methanol and oxygen
(2 CH3OH + O2 → 2 CH2O + 2 H2O) at high temperature over a specialized catalyst to produce formaldehyde (CH2O).
Specialty Acids such as Chlorosulfonic Acid, Formic Acid,
and Hydrochloric Acid including specialized equipment to liquify and purify Anhydrous Hydrogen Chloride and adsorbers to produce acqueous Hydrochloric Acid.
Chemical processing facilities designed and constructed by
PPE personnel are operating today.
Let
PPE take your processing requirements and move them from concept to fully operational. You can
contact us to discuss how PPE can handle your process problems.
