BioFuels Plants
PPE has extensive experience in the
design and construction of Biofuels Refineries including Biodiesel
and Ethanol.
Biodiesel is a vegetable oil- or animal fat-based diesel fuel consisting of long-chain alkyl (methyl,
propyl or ethyl) esters. Biodiesel is typically made by chemically reacting lipids (e.g., vegetable oil, animal fat
“tallow”) with an alcohol.
Ethanol used as an industrial feedstock or solvent can be produced from petrochemical feed stocks,
primarily by the acid-catalyzed hydration of ethylene.
The vast majority of ethanol used as fuel, is produced by fermentation
of grains such as corn or other similar fermentable material.
Biofuels facilities designed and constructed by
PPE are operating in the US today.
Let PPE take your processing
requirements and move them from concept to fully operational. You can
contact us to discuss how PPE can handle your process problems.
